“WEKUtex Air” – the acoustic fabric for reasonably priced ceiling renovation

FOR RENOVATIONS AND NEW FACILITIES
Particularly in the case of renovation work, reasonable acoustic solutions fail increasingly due to ceiling load issues.  However, a fabric with fascinating characteristics provides completely new possibilities in this area. Moreover, although at present this lightweight and comparatively low priced solution is primarily thought of as a ceiling design solution, it can of course be used for wall coverings and design. 


PREMIERE IN LINZ AUHOF
WEKUtex Air, the fabric for improved room acoustics, is especially suitable for large indoor spaces such as gymnasiums, multipurpose halls and swimming baths. The fabric, which is also attractive from a cost perspective, was first installed in 2012 in the gymnasiums  of the Europa Grammar School in the Auhof district of Linz.


LIGHT, TEAR-RESISTIANT, BALLPROOF AND WITH FIRE PROTECTION CERTIFICATION 
Th arguments in favour of the new acoustic fabric are most convincing. Owing to its lightness  (even if the special support system from Schweiger is included,  it only has around 25% of the weight of standard ceiling systems), this ballproof fabric is especially suitable for renovation work or acoustic measures in buildings subject to preservation orders.


PATENTED ANCHORAGE
Thanks to the specially developed tensioning system, the acoustic fabric can be spread over large spaces without sagging or creases.
